Cambridge Chapel Choirs

Here’s our list of the main chapel choirs of Cambridge.

Each has a link to their choir/chapel websites, which you can click to connect.
When you get to the chapel webpage, look for the ‘Music List’ or ‘Termcard’.
This gives you the music being sung and the service times.

KINGS COLLEGE
One of the two best known Oxbridge choirs around the world. Televised on Christmas Day. Ethereal, floaty sound of exquisite beauty.

JESUS COLLEGE
High standard of singing. Children in the ‘front row’ which then alternates with woman sopranos but the same ‘back row’. Always worth hearing.

TRINITY COLLEGE
A ‘mixed choir’ (women sopranos rather than little boys and girls on the top line). Very high reputation for this type of choir. Many recordings.

ST JOHN’S COLLEGE
The other world-famous Oxbridge choir. Famous (ticketed) Advent Carol service broadcast by the BBC. Much more robust, lyrical sound. Extraordinarily exciting to listen to.

CLARE COLLEGE
Another mixed choir with a great reputation. Often also do recitals before evensong. Charming and intimate chapel environment.

GONVILLE & CAIUS COLLEGE
A leading collegiate mixed choir. Moved into the top flight over the last couple of decades. Eclectic mix of repertoire to a high standard.
